
according to the US team, this was the first sun they had seen in nearly three weeks. it sure did the trick for taking pictures, though.
this was my first time photographing ski jumping. i did some long lens looking up at the jumper and some wide angle looking up and looking down towards the stadium.
plenty of experimenting, and this was definitely the favorite shot of the day. i got a safe, zoomed shot of the US skier i was there to shoot, but the next day i got him in a duplicate shot of this one. bigger crowds, too, though the grey sky wasn’t as good as this.
